Levallois with Diaw bows against Limoges, Pau atomizes Hyères-Toulon

In the aftermath of this 4th day of Pro A and for his great debut with Levallois, Boris Diaw lost against Limoges (81-87 ap). Victories at home for Le Portel, Pau-Lacq-Orthez, Cholet, Chalons-Reims respectively against Nanterre (87-73), Hyères-Toulon (84-56), Dijon (75-73) and Chalon (103-97).

Diaw missed debut with Levallois
Boris Diaw (10 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists and 4 balls lost in 35 minutes) could not do anything. Levallois, deprived of Petr Cornelie wounded, bends for the third time at home (and counts only one victory), this time against Limoges (81-87) after extension. The CSP reacted well after its setback in Hyères-Toulon. The show was well attended on the floor of Marcel-Cerdan. The spectators even had the right to an extension to see a little more the captain of the team of France. Levallois had nothing to do with the very rugged defense of the Limougeauds. However, the latter took 32 points in the first quarter but 15 in the third and 8 in the last. Limoges was able to thank Brian Conklin who snatched the extra time and Mam 'Jaiteh (16 points, 8 rebounds, 3 interceptions and 3 counters). The latter explained to the microphone of SFR Sport 2 at the end of the meeting that "it was important to show a fighting face, reaction, after the non-match against Toulon".
Chalon, champion of France, still does not arrive
Chalon again sank, this time on the floor of Chalons-Reims. Despite everything, this meeting gave birth to a real offensive festival but, ultimately, to the advantage of the locals (103-97). Châlons-Reims shot 71 times against 68 for his one-day opponents. Their common point is their 50% success. On the side of the premises, six players finish at 12 points or more: 18 for Ben Bentil and Ed Daniel, 16 for Paul Carter and Martin Hermannsson. This victory balances the record of Châlons-Reims (two victories for two defeats), which fell heavily on Tuesday against Strasbourg. For the defending French champions, despite the exemplar of Jérémy Nzeulie (18 points, 4 rebounds and 5 assists) and Adam Smith (17 points), this is a fourth defeat in as many matches .
Cholet finally wins his first match
Cholet was stunning. Thanks to a last quarter of very high quality, the Choletais won against Dijon (75-73) to finally win a first meeting this season. Yet the outcome could have been quite different. At the start of the last quarter, Cholet was led by eight points (52-60). The players of Philippe Hervé then rang the revolt for a late meeting that we know. The foreign players, strongly criticized since the beginning of this fiscal year 2017-2018, made the difference. In the last period, Ivan Maras (11 points and 9 rebounds) then scored 6 points and then Ryan Evans (11 points and 3 rebounds) has in turn registered seven of which the last four of his formation. Dijon, deprived of Rasheed Sulaimon, could not do anything despite Jacques Alingué (10 points to 5/5, 5 rebounds and 4 assists). After two successes, the JDA recorded its second consecutive defeat.
Pau humiliated Hyères-Toulon
Hyères-Toulon was totally outclassed. After three consecutive victories in the beginning of the season 2017-2018, the Varois have very heavily fallen against Pau-Orthez this Saturday (84-56). The two formations therefore have a similar record, namely three successes for a setback.
The Portel feels better at home
After two defeats outside of which a severe in Bourg-en-Bresse, Le Portel imposed in his Chaudron against Nanterre (87-73). Eric Girard's players were better at the rebound (36-26). Frank Hassel (4 points and 4 rebounds) is still inside but Jakim Donaldson is in shape (18 points, 4 rebounds and 10 faults caused) as does Dinma Odiakosa not to mention Trae Golden (22 points to 7/10 shots and 7 / 11 free throws, 3 rebounds, 4 assists and no lost balls). "At home, we want to show that we are one of the best defenses in the championship, as we were last year," said Portel Jessie Begarin at the half-time of SFR Sport 2. Nanterre could not do anything, as Heiko Schaffartzik (0/6 at three points) had noticed. Only Nic Moore had a good match (15 points to 4/6). But the leader came out after five fouls while his formation was still in contact. After three games in six days, Nanterre hopes to bounce back quickly.
