Spartak Moscow: Spartak supporters still talk about them

UEFA decided to open an investigation against Spartak Moscow on Wednesday, as Russian supporters deployed insulting banners and threw smoke at the match against Liverpool (1-1).

In the aftermath of the draw between Spartak Moscow and Liverpool on the second day of the Champions League (1-1), UEFA opened an investigation against the Russian club. The European body criticizes the Spartak fans for having deployed a "UEFA Mafia" banner, used a lot of smoke and obstructed the stadium stadium. After the first group match against Maribor, the Moscow fans had already been the subject of a UEFA investigation because a supporter had thrown a smoke right next to referee Deniz Aytekin. Spartak were fined 60,000 euros and their supporters were forbidden to travel to Sevilla for the third day of the Champions League.
